To build an argument map in ReasonSpace start out with a blank map.

There is a button in the bottom left with a + sign in it. Pressing it will create a new proposition box and allow you to type text into it.

When you select an existing proposition box, you'll see an edit control towards the bottom left of the screen that enables you to edit the text in the box and to connect it to other items in the map. Pressing the upward-pointing arrows in this control above or below the text will put you in a mode where you can connect items above or below the selected proposition. When the arrow button has been pressed , if you creating a new proposition (with the + button) it will be connected to the existing proposition by a new inference. And when a proposition is selected and one of the arrows button is pressed, clicking on another proposition will connect it (via a new inference) to the selected proposition. Likewise, when you're in this mode, selecting an existing inference will connect the selected proposition to that inference.

When an inference is selected, you can use the arrow buttons on the edit control to connect that inference to propositions. Clicking an existing proposition will connect it to the inference, and any new proposition created with the + button will be placed into the relevant relation with the selected inference.
